Alexander McCallum Webster made his own camera which he used to take photographs of his family, friends and servants. During the summer of 1866, he took a series of photographs on the family estate of Invercreran in Argyll which he mounted into an album called Our Glen. Using these photographs as a starting point, pupils will learn about family life and activities in 19th century Scotland. |
