The National Archives of Scotland aims to support learning and teaching within Curriculum for Excellence and National Qualifications. We are developing our education service to extend access to our unique holdings and to our specialist expertise in the form of visits, workshops and website resources.
INSET and professional
development
We can offer workshops and twilight training sessions for teachers and student teachers on how to use archives in learning and teaching. Original sources can support the study of social studies - history, geography and modern studies, and act as an inspiration for expressive arts, literacy, drama and creative writing, or present opportunities for philosophical debate on citizenship, religious, moral and ethical questions. Visit the National Archives of Scotland, and meet our education staff.
