Discover what life was like in Scotland during WW2 using primary sources of evidence and contemporary film clips. Britain declared war on Germany on 3 September 1939. The Ministry of Information, set up in the same month, used radio, films and newsreels as well as printed information and instruction leaflets to advise people what to do. Men left home to fight for their King and Country. Those left behind - men, women and children - played their part in supporting the war effort. Activities
